Garage Sale was a Huge Success

Well, it’s been over a week since three garage sales took place. And, we are happy to report they were a huge success. We stopped counting at 200 people, but over the 2-day period close to 300 people came into our park including elderly couples, families with children, over 50 Foothills residents, and even a board member’s spouse. Sales were also far greater than anticipated. In fact, it would be safe to say that over $1500 was made between the three homes.

Contrary to the ramblings and unjustified warnings of a board member in the September “Foothills Footnotes”, there has been no crime wave, no roaming gangs looking to steal yard gnomes, no starving Haitians eating our pets, and no barbarian hordes scaling the park walls.

It is both sad and pathetic that a board member would try to instill fear and sow division over such a normal event. So in the future when you read ludicrous and unfounded warnings in the “Foothills Footnotes”, please consider the source. Look carefully at Foothills’ governing documents to ensure they can corroborate the claims. I think you will find it’s a control issue more than anything else.

So we can safely look forward to upcoming garage sales. Another community garage sale is scheduled for November 2. Please contact Tammy Carr to let her know you are participating. Flyers and maps will be available for buyers. There will be advertising and signs to let the public know of our event.

A non legal owner has no business posting on the fake website!!!

This is not a “fake” website. In fact, it is the only avenue of news and factual information available to the residents of FOSM. Everything that is posted, and all comments, are vetted before publication. It is our only source of truth and veracity we can rely on. This website was created to ensure every resident, whether they are owners or renters, have access to the facts and truth to what is happening in our community. We are well aware there are those in this community who wish to hide and subvert the truth, and spread lies and gossip. We stand against that. We hope you will too.

Opinions shared from the shadows represent a false vision of the truth, an illusion about reality. The person who replied to this article is delusional, a narcissist and a coward. There is nothing fake about this website or article except for the person who responded using [email protected]. The prior board endorsed the use of this website to disseminate information to the owners of Foothills of San Marcos and is protected by the 1st Amendment.

Awesome! It is a shame we have a board trying to degrade our quality of life by spreading lies and gaslighting our community.

All residents have a right to state plain facts to dispel fake paranoid comments
put in writing by a board member. As for legal title, does this give you the right to detain,
harass and physically assault your neighbor because a board member decided to spread
vicious lies? Where have people’s values gone? Is it OK for this same board member to
constantly expose himself and be seen urinating? There are grandchildren that come in
this park after school. All that the coward can talk about is who is on the title, which was
stated illegally at a board meeting by residents that did not know if this had changed in
eight years. This was an attempt to silence someone who stood up for what was right!
